Moto Guzzi Audace Price, Features, Specifications

Moto Guzzi Audace is a 1400cc matte black Italian cruiser designed specifically for mountain rides. Although cruisers are more common from American brands like the Harley-Davidson, Audace is a special product from the oldest European motorcycle brand that has been into continuous production. Instead of getting into the details of the manufacturer, let’s quickly brush across the bikes specifications.

Moto Guzzi Audace

Design:

Audace looks are identical to a typical cruiser but with a bit of Italian touch up. The transversely mounted V-twin motor helps the bike to distinguish itself with its ominous looks. The motorcycle has a round headlight with two regular shaped mirrors and a neatly fitted fuel tank that has an arch at the bottom to house the cylinder heads on both sides. Audace’s elegant front design is aptly complemented by its rear setup that includes the tail light and the indicators that are integrated beautifully in the form of long and vertical strips.

The toggle button on the left side of the drag handlebar allows you to swap between the battery charge, tank range, distance to empty and more.  On the right side, there is another switch that lets you control the cruise itself. Further designing enhancements include the burnished valve covers, the light alloy wheels with the company logo and the minimal black mirrors. The metallic radiator grill and the total-black short megaphone exhaust add more beauty to the beast.

Technical Specification :

The Audace has a maximum power of 97PS @ 6500rpm and a peak torque of 121Nm which is attained at a mere 3000rpm mark. There are three riding modes- Veloce, Turismo and Pioggia. In simpler terms, these modes can be classified as going ballistic, highway cruising and the rain mode. Besides the three riding modes, it also supports three levels of traction. With an overall mileage of 13-14kmpl and a 20L fuel tank, it can hold about 250km with a full tank. Audace has all the regular equipment installed including tachometer, digital speedometer, fuel efficiency indicator, clock and ABS as well.

The Audace’s seating is pretty much similar to that of a typical cruiser and there’s nothing pretty unique about it. The motorcycle might weigh a hefty 300kg but that doesn’t bother while making cuts and turns.  The brakes deserve praise for their neat job. The dual front discs and their four-piston calipers offer exceptional feel and control. Moto Guzzi has also used the latest technological developments from the app world in order to offer virtual assistance to its riders. Audace has an iOS/Android app that can be connected via the Bluetooth.

Overall Audace, with a price tag of around Rs. 20L, offers a premium ride to its users. It’s resplendent looks and beautiful modularity adds to its overall appeal and makes the cruiser an optimal motorcycle. Everything from the power to the speed, to its delightful corner exits, all add up, making Audace a fun drive and a complete package. Audace has a technological edge over many of its counterparts which makes it a compelling choice for many.
