When Suzuki Slingshot was first introduced into the 125cc commuter segment, it received a huge response from the word go and since then has managed to grab a large chunk of the market. It continues to do well till date and the reasons are not hard to find.

The engine is capable of generating a maximum power of 8.5 BHP, achieved at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10Nm at 3500 rpm. The engine is mated with a 5-speed slick gearbox that makes shifting gears butter smooth. The bike battery is of bigger capacity 12V 5Ah and the bike has a regular 35/35 watt headlight.
The bike feels light while steering and this makes it easy to handle on the city roads. Good suspension system that comprises a telescopic oil-damped front coil spring suspension and a swing-arm oil-damped rear coil spring suspension, help reduce bumps and jerks, contributing towards its stability even on rough terrain. Not only this, it also helps the bike in achieving a top speed of 80 kmph.
The bike is capable of giving an impressive 59 kmpl on the city roads and more on highways.
