SUZUKI M800: Price, Features, Specifications

Suzuki has introduced a new version of its famous Intruder M1800 in the market. The newly unveiled smaller version is named as Intruder M800. This is a cruiser bike which has got all the features that make it a perfect touring bike.

M800 borrows its looks from its elder brother including the basic design and style of the bike. It is heavily chromed cruiser bike with sharp front fender which extends downward with the front forks of the bike. The headlight and indicators are taken up from its bigger sibling but the front cowl is redesigned lacking a visor and boasts naked chrome finished instrument panel. Chrome finishing is used everywhere on the bike which includes rear view mirrors, hand levers, two exhaust pipes and even the engine is heavily chromed. Complementing the seat assembly is the long fuel tank. Looking at the rear side of the bike, the cowl has no grab rail but flaunts a fatty rear tire which gives a macho look to the bike. The rear fender of the bike is almost unnoticeable and carries the indicators and number plate.

The instrument console of the bike features a combined analogue digital instrument console. Placed on the fuel tank is the analogue speedometer with digital fuel gauge, odometer and trip-meter which are displayed on an orange colored LCD. One drawback of bike is that it lacks a tachometer.

The power section of the bike consists an 805 cc 4- stroke, 2- cylinder, liquid- cooled, SOHC, V- twin engine which can easily churn out a power output of 50 bhp @ 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 65 Nm @ 5000 rpm. The engine is mated with a five- speed manual gearbox with one gear down and rest up gear shift pattern.

The mileage of M800 is affected by its weight as it can give mileage of around 12-14 km/liter in city and 5 km/liter mileage is increased while driving on a highway.

In the suspension section of this Intruder, there is coil spring; oil damped front telescopic forks and 5 way adjustable spring preload suspension doing their work at the rear side of bike. The braking system consists of drum brake on back side and two radial mounted caliper and single 300 mm disc brake at front.

The rider will experience a comfortable riding as M800 is a wide bike having low seating posture and front set foot pegs which helps in giving the rider a relaxing position. There are compact handle bars which allows firm palm grip along with seats which are stuffed with high quality fabric.

It is available in two colors- Metallic Alba blue and Sparkle Black. It is offered at a reasonable price of Rs. 1005000.
