With the world becoming more conscious of their looks and with the constant demand of social media to document, compare and analyze every single part of a human’s life, from the food they eat to the time they sleep, it seems everybody’s in the race to look good. But with nearly everyone becoming self – proclaimed beauty gurus who are mostly sponsored by expensive brands looking for ways to promote their products, beauty and skincare may not seem like the most affordable luxury.
Well I’m here to give you 5 fool-proof tips that will leave your skin feeling amazing, all the while making sure you don’t get any nasty allergic reactions. Oh, and they won’t break the bank, promise.
Tip 1: Aloe Vera:
Yes, Aloe Vera is literally a gift from the heavens to achieve deity-like skin, and all you have to do to make it into a lifetime beauty hack is to plant it in your garden. No garden? No problem, this resilient plant grows just as well in pots and doesn’t need much looking-after either. So what do you have to do? Simply take the gel from the plant and apply it on your skin for a few minutes, then wash it off. This will leave your skin hydrated, soft and will help scars and discoloration fade away in no time.

Tip 2: Turmeric:
Turmeric, otherwise known as haldi, is an Indian spice that’s perfect to use in a face mask or even ingesting it by putting it in your curry, lentils, or even in a glass of water with some ginger in the morning will give you long lasting results due to its immunity boosting properties. Just be careful not to apply too much to your face at one time.
Tip 3: Olive Oil:
Olive oil is one of the best known skin hydrating oils that not only deep cleanses pores from dirt and other contaminants, but also loosens dead skin, providing an exfoliating effect. Simply massaging a tablespoon or two for a few minutes on your skin will leave it looking as young and supple as it’s ever been.
Tip 4: Honey:
Truly the nectar of the gods, honey is packed full of antioxidants and hydrating properties that penetrate deep into your skin to leave it looking radiant. Mix a tablespoon of honey with some ground cinnamon and apply it onto your skin, especially if you’re prone to breaking out with pimples after hair removal. This will not only heal and soothe the skin but also prevent infection.
Tip 5: Watch what you Eat:
I don’t mean to never eat the things you like ever again, just be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day, eat your vegetables, and maybe even throw in a cup of green tea every now and then. This will ensure that toxins leave your body and give you a bit of spring in your step.
All in all, if you feel good on the inside, your skin will definitely show it on the outside.
