Delhi Serial Blasts, 2005
The year 2005 witnessed yet another terrorist attack on 39th October, when serial blasts rocked the capital city of Delhi, causing a heavy death toll of 62 and leaving another 210 injured. The reason behind it was that the blasts took place in busy areas of Paharganj, Govindpuri and Sarojini Nagar, with the festival of Diwali just around the corner.

Varanasi Blasts, 2006
The next terrorist attack on the list is serial blasts which caused 15 deaths in the holy city of Varanasi. The responsibility of the blasts, which took place on 7th March, was taken by Lashkar-e-Toiba. Besides the casualties, the blasts left 101 people injured.

One of the biggest terrorist attacks in the history of India were the Mumbai train blasts, which shook the local train network of the city of Mumbai on 11th July, 2006. The seven blasts killed as many as 2019 people and injured more than 700 people.

2006 was an eventful year for the country, as far as terrorist attacks were concerned. Malegaon serial blasts occurred near a mosque in Malegaon, a small city near Nashik, on 8th September, 2006. The deadly attack claimed the lives of 37 people and injured 125 persons.

Jaipur Blasts, 2008
Jaipur, the Pink City and a tourism hub, was rocked by serial blasts on the fateful day of 13th May, 2008. The blasts left more than 80 people dead and many more injured.

The Silicon City of Bangalore became the victim of another deadly terrorist on 25th July 25, 2008. The blasts, having been caused by crude bombs, killed 2 people and injured more.

Mumbai Terrorist Attacks, 2008
After the local train blasts of 2006, Mumbai was again terrorized on 29-30th November, 2008, when the whole city came under siege. The Taj hotel, Leopold Café, CST Terminal, Cama Hospital, and CST station were victimized by terrorists, who gun fired innocent people at these locations. Guests and staff at The Taj and The Oberoi Trident hotels were held hostage by the terrorists. More than 170 people died and over 300 were wounded in these attacks.

German Bakery Blast, Pune, 2010
The famous German Bakery Karegaon Park in Pune, witnessed a deadly terrorist attack on 13th February, 2010 in the form of a bomb blast, done with the aim of killing foreigners. The blast killed 8 people and left 50 injured.
